Jen + Jack's Wedding in Yaxham, Norfolk

Jen and Jack tied the knot on the perfect kind of summer day for a wedding photographer: not too hot, with a cool breeze and bright, yet cloudy, sky. I arrived in the morning at the beautiful Norfolk Courtyard, where Jen and her troop of bridesmaids were getting ready in an airy loft space. After some photos in their matching robes, a first look with her bridesmaids and – of course – a few glasses of bubbly, we were on our way to the small village of Yaxham, near Dereham. They said their vows in an intimate and personal ceremony within the small church, which had been decorated beautifully with incredible floral arrangements by Valley of Flowers, before heading outside for a confetti arch and group photo.

The reception took place at Jack’s family’s property nearby. As drinks and nibbles were served in the main area of the grounds, Jen and Jack snuck away into the secret gardens for some family and couple portraits amidst the roses and ivy. On the other side of the house, two large tipis took up the available space, filled with round tables and even more gorgeous flowers. After some emotional speeches and delicious food in one of the tipis, the party moved over to the second tipi for a night of drinking, dancing and even more food in the form of a pizza van, while Jen and Jack slipped away once more for some couple portraits in the final rays of the golden setting sun.

With a colour palette that would make any photographer swoon, an array of beautiful locations, stunning floral arrangements and the most amazing, friendly guests, Jen and Jack’s wedding was the epitome of a perfect summer celebration. I’m so happy I got to be a part of it, and that I had the chance to capture all those special moments and memories for such a lovely and warm couple. Congratulations, Jen and Jack!
