Dandelion + Bloom Lookbook
I've been following Kelly-May Sage on social media for around a year now, after she got in touch to inquire about wedding photography. She's super into her arts and crafts and DIY, so I'm always really interested to see new content from her. When she started posting about her latest project, Dandelion & Bloom, I was immediately in love, and messaged her straight away to see if she'd like to set up a styled lookbook photoshoot.
Dandelion & Bloom sells beautiful handmade flower crowns that are created using carefully sourced artificial flowers. It began when Kelly-May made a flower crown for her own wedding; after receiving so much positive feedback, she decided to turn it into a business. Every crown is unique, and you can either purchase ready-made crowns or request a bespoke design.
We decided to shoot at Mousehold Heath in Norwich just as the season was turning, so that the leaves would reflect the vibrant colours of the crowns. Our model was Hannah Roberts, who I've worked with several times in the past - she's such an amazing model and is a natural in front of the camera. There were a couple of different crowns that Kelly-May wanted photographed, including autumn-inspired ones as well as a unique mermaid one.
