Minimalist Boho Bridal Shoot

It's been a while since I've done a bridal shoot or styled wedding shoot. I really wanted to do one that focused on the bride first and foremost; instead of being distracted by decorations or props, I concentrated on the model, hair and makeup, dress and accessories.

The stunning Amber Burton agreed to be my model - it's been years since I last shot with her, and as she's off to America (today!) for three months, I really wanted to grab the chance before it was too late. Brooke Thompson, aka Boho Beauty Box on Instagram, did an incredible job with the hair and makeup, creating a soft updo for Amber and bold, yet neutral, makeup.

The flower crowns were kindly donated by Dandelion & Bloom; I asked for something more subtle compared to our previous shoot, which was tropical-themed, and Kelly-May came through with the most beautiful Eucalyptus style crown. Finally, the dress was, amazingly, from ASOS. I've used dresses from ASOS before for shoots, but this was one from their dedicated Bridal collection - and I was so impressed with it. The quality was incredible, down to all the little details in the embroidery, and it was delivered in a dress bag with a wooden hanger.

We shot at Waterloo Park in Norwich, which I've described before as one of my favourite parks in Norwich. There are just so many areas to photograph in, with gorgeous flowers and scenery. This time, we decided to go quite late on a Sunday so it was almost deserted. This also meant we could let off a sneaky smoke bomb, which resulted in some of my favourite photos in the set. Take a look at more of the photos below (click to expand):

I also have a new photography logo. I've never actually had a logo for my photography work, and with my name changing due to my recent marriage, I thought it was about time. Let me know what you think! And, as ever, if you're interested in working together just drop me an email.
